When the first Dieux du Stade calendar hit store shelves back in 2001, it marked a complete change to the likes of Michael Owen and David Beckham calendars at the time with maybe a token shirtless pic. The book also became a deserved best-seller, with both book and calendar featuring players from the French professional rugby club Stade Français.
Future years saw players from other rugby clubs and even from other sports featured in artistic nude and semi-nude poses. In our opinion, the peak year was 2007 with Scottish rugby star Sean Lamont showing off all (and we mean all!) of his assets! Whilst its popularity has perhaps peaked, the men are still incredibly hot! Here are our favourite from 2019…
