Gareth Thomas talks to Prince Harry about HIV stigma

Former Wales rugby captain and all time hunk, Gareth Thomas, recently spoke with His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry on World AIDS Day to “break the stigma surrounding HIV”.

Thomas was recently revealed as commissioner on the first ever HIV Commission, revealed by leading HIV charities THT (Terrence Higgins Trust) and NAT (National AIDS Trust).

Thomas told Harry: “I always felt that my life was to play rugby and to represent Wales.

“But I actually feel that my rugby gave me the platform to actually do what I am doing now.

“There’s not many people from a simple life like I come from who can have the power to change other people’s lives.”

And that “breaking stigma around HIV is something that will have a legacy everlasting”.
